PENGARUH RETURN ON INVESTMENT (ROI) DAN EARNING PER SHARE (EPS) TERHADAP HARGA SAHAM PERUSAHAAN PEMBIAYAAN YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

Abstrak

The research problem related to stock prices is the uncertainty about the fundamental factors of a company that can cause fluctuations in stock prices. The company's fundamentals can provide predictions about future events, such as stock prices. This research is applied to determine and analyze the magnitude of the influence of fundamental factors of companies, such as Return On Investment (ROI) and Earnings Per Share (EPS), both partially and simultaneously, on the stock prices of finance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2017-2021. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS software. The objects of this study were financing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of 2017-2021, with a sample taken using purposive sampling, resulting in 5 samples of financing companies out of 16. The results of the study showed that partially, Return On Investment (ROI) did not have a significant influence on stock prices, while Earning Per Share (EPS) had a significant influence on stock prices. This is evidenced by the level of significance of ROI at 0.427 (0.427 > 0.05) with (-0.809 < 2.074), and the level of significance of EPS at 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05) with (16,564 > 2.074). In addition, the results of the study showed that ROI and EPS had a significant simultaneous effect on stock prices. This is evidenced by the level of significance at 0.000 (0.000 < 0.05) with (145,938 > 3.42). Keywords: Return On Investment, Earning Per Share, Stock Price
