PENGARUH REFORMASI PERPAJAKAN TERHADAP STRUKTUR MODAL PADA PERUSAHAAN SEKTOR TEKNOLOGI DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA PERIODE 2021-2024

Abstrak

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of tax reform on the capital structure of technology sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021– 2024 period. Tax reform is proxied by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR), while capital structure is measured using the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). This research employs a quantitative method with descriptive and verificative approaches. The data were obtained from the annual financial statements of selected companies using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The tests performed include descriptive statistics, normality test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, t-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that ETR does not have a significant effect on DER, with a significance value of 0.243 > 0.05. The R² value of 0.133 shows that ETR explains only 13.3% of the variation in DER, while the remaining variation is influenced by other factors outside the research model. Thus, the alternative hypothesis (H₁), which states that tax reform affects capital structure, is not empirically supported, and the null hypothesis (H₀) stating that tax reform has no effect on capital structure is accepted.
